Use the HedgeHog Concept to Build Your MLM Career

About three years ago I was taking a Management Class at UMASS where the core study was Jim Collins’  Book, “Good to Great”. I loved the book and the course. The most moving, self motivating aspect of the book was the HedgeHog Concept. It is basic and simplistic in nature but very powerful. This could change your life and MLM career if you allow yourself to be honest and forthright with your own self assessment. This short video by Gideon Shalwick clearly shows how the HedgeHog Concept has streamlined his career and guides him toward greater success online and in life.  If you use the HedgeHog Concept in your MLM business you will more than likely be more successful and find greater satisfaction and purpose.

Sponsoring MLM distributors into your downline can be difficult and frustrating. Especially when you’ve tried the techniques your company has taught you. So, what I’m going to do is share with you some tips on how to sponsor MLM distributors.

That way, you’ll be able to add dozens of people to your downline.

The tips on sponsoring MLM distributors are:

1. The first thing you need to do is find your target market, or the right people. This will make sponsoring new distributors easy. I know that your company probably has great products and one of the best compensation plans in the industry, but this isn’t something everyone will care about.

A great analogy for this would be if you sold the best steaks in the world. The right person wouldn’t be a vegetarian. It’ll be a meat lover. Someone who absolutely loves steaks. Think about how many steaks a true steak lover will buy. Probably hundreds of dollars worth. And if they’re good, the steak lover would buy the steaks for many years.

The same concept applies to your MLM business. So, if you want to recruit more distributors, you will need to find the right people.

2. Another tip on how to sponsor MLM distributors is to have an irresistible offer. Your offer should be really enticing and interested to the right person. It should make them want to either buy the product right then and there, or make them want more information about it.

3. The third thing you need to know if you want to recruit more distributors into your MLM business is to know how to overcome objections. This is very important if you want to add people into your downline. Also, knowing what to say and how to say it will help you attract people to your downline, too.

Which is how a lot of the top income earners are able to add dozens of people a month into their downline.

These are some tips on how to sponsor MLM distributors. If you are serious about growing your downline, make sure you use the tips that I mentioned above.

To Your Health and Prosperity,

Tom

There’s no difference between a pessimist who says, “Oh it’s hopeless, so don’t bother doing anything,” and an optimist who says, “Don’t bother doing anything, it’s going to turn out fine anyway.” Either way, nothing happens.

Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia

Fear comes in many forms, and we usually don’t call it by its four letter name. Fear itself is quite fear-inducing. Most intelligent people in the world dress it up as something else: optimistic denial.

Most who avoid quitting their jobs entertain the thought that their course will improve with time or increase in income. This seems valid and is a tempting hallucination when a job is boring or uninspiring instead of pure hell. Pure hell forces action, but anything less can be endured with enough clever rationalization.

Do you really think it will improve or is it wishful thinking and an excuse for inaction? If you were confident in improvement would you really be questioning things so? Generally not. This is fear of the unknown disguised as optimism.

Are you better off than you were one year ago, one month ago, or one week ago?

If not, things will not improve by themselves. If you are kidding yourself, it is time to stop and plan for a jump. Barring any James Dean ending, your life is going to be LONG. Nine to five for your working lifetime of 40-50 years is a long-ass time if the rescue doesn’t come. About 500 months of solid work.

How many do you have to go? It’s probably time to cut your losses.

The preceding article was taken from Tim Ferriss’ book, The Four Hour Work Week. He clearly represents what is wrong with the American workplace and how fear limits our lives. Take the plunge while you can. Seek out a network marketing opportunity and consistently take action. Look at it as an insurance policy for you, your family and loved ones. The benefits are abound. Remember, you can’t get to second base without stepping off first.

Life is yours for the taking. Enjoy the journey.

I love this short but sweet overview on what to avoid doing while prospecting with Todd Falcone. Throughout my MLM career I have been guilty of these mistakes from time to time. Can’t imagine what that cost me in income. Save so much of your precious time by being aware and refining your approach. This will pay big dividends in your MLM efforts.

Keep it Simple,Tom

I am writing this Blog Post to help motivate and inspire not just you, but me. When I put my thoughts to print it drives and inspires me. I love the energy I feel when I share a better way. I am so grateful for so many things that Network Marketing provided me in my life. More often than not, I forget all the wonderful events, available time, cash flow and mobility that my MLM business afforded me. After all, the currency of the New Rich is time and mobility. Now, I am back in full force after more than a decade of a living Hell running a Public Company. My hope for you is to NOT have to live the Deferred Life. By Deferred Life, I mean the life that most of Americans live by. They work 40-50 years and then live their lives in retirement, if that is still possible. They save it all for the end only to find that life has passed them by.

Almost 7 years ago my Father was diagnosed with Cancer back in CT. Thus began the numerous trips from Utah to CT. As the Cancer progressed and my Father’s health diminished the trips increased in frequency. My Father passed away that Valentine’s Day of 2004. Looking back, I am very grateful that I was not living the Deferred Lifestyle. I was fortunate to be able to afford to travel so many times to CT and spend so much time with my Dad and family. I was not restrained by time spent away or finances.

Recently, as of last week, my youngest Daughter accepted a scholarship to a very well known University in Orange County, CA. If I lived the Deferred Lifestyle I would not likely to be able to see my daughter as often as I would like for the next 4 years other than a few Holidays. Now, my Mother is aging and on her own in CT. I also need to spend some quality time with her over the coming years. The Non-Deferred Lifestyle is a necessity for me.

With the aging Baby-Boomers and terrible economic times it is clear that most of us need more than ever, the Non-Deferred Lifestyle. The demands on our time, work and finances are challenged every day. The stress and fears of just living is taking its toll on everyone virtually everywhere. I hope you will take this post to heart and devote some time researching, joining and building a Network Marketing business. Good luck in Designing your Life before it passes you by. For me, it seems like just yesterday that I was walking my daughter Ashley into her Kindergarten Class.
